Booking
terms and conditions
1.
Contract
The contract for your holiday rental is between the owners
of Northleigh Farm and the person making the booking and all members
of the holiday party and is governed by English law. The contract takes
effect when the deposit is received and payment of the deposit constitutes
acceptance of these conditions.
2.
Booking
Bookings are accepted and confirmed on payment of one-third
of the agreed price with the balance due for payment four weeks before
the holiday commencement date. Full payment is required for any booking
made within four weeks of commencement.
3.
Cancellation
In the event of cancellation for whatever reason the deposit
is forfeited and the balance remains payable on the due date. Cancellations
must be notified to us by telephone or email and confirmed in writing
following which we will endeavour to re-let the cottage. If we are able
to re-let the cottage we will refund to you such part of the price paid
by you as we are able to recoup less an administration fee of £25.
We recommend you take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover such
an eventuality.
4.
Price
The agreed price is for self-catering hire of the cottages
and includes all linen and towels. In addition to the price, payment
for electricity and heating oil consumed is payable on departure together
with payment for any additional items or services provided such as babysitting
and produce.
5.
Arrival and departure times
The cottages will be available from 3 pm on the date of arrival
and must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.
6.
Care of the property
The cottages and games room must be left in as clean and tidy a condition
as you find them. We reserve the right to make an additional charge
in the event of excessive cleaning being required after departure. All
breakages must be reported and paid for.
7.
Repairs and maintenance
We reserve the right of entry during the hire period for the
purposes of inspection and maintenance or repair.
8.
Occupancy
The maximum number of people allowed in each cottage is as
follows:- The Shippen – 4, Battens – 6 and The Linney – 4. These numbers
may only be exceeded by prior agreement with us.
9.
Smoking
All cottages and the games room are fully non-smoking and no smoking
is allowed in the vicinity of any farm buildings.
10. Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the following terms:-
• Dogs
may only be brought to Northleigh Farm by prior agreement and must be
fully house trained ie no puppies
• Dogs
must not be left unattended in the cottages or grounds at any times
• Dogs
are not allowed upstairs or on any furniture or beds
• Dogs
must be kept on leads outside at all times until you are entirely satisfied
that your dog has no interest in chasing/eating any poultry or livestock.
• In
the event of any damage to any property including furniture and carpets
you will be responsible for the full replacement cost
of any such item (not cleaning costs)
11.
Force majeur
If for any reason we have to cancel your booking in advance
due to circumstances beyond our control we will refund the full amount
of the price paid but will not be liable for any additional compensation,
expenses or costs.
12.
Liability and disclaimer
All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the safety
of visitors but as Northleigh Farm is a working farm you are advised
on arrival to establish with all members of your party which areas of
the grounds may be used. Use of the cottages and grounds is entirely
at the users risk and no liability can be accepted for any injury, damage
or loss suffered by or to any visitors or their belongings
